With over 20 years of experience in finance and operations, having held VP and CFO roles across several continents and a number of industries, Pete Nicholson joined the GB family in 2017 as its Australian CFO. His wealth of knowledge and deep expertise in global mergers and acquisitions enabled him to be quickly promoted to the role of CFO at GB International in 2018. In this role, Nicholson led the international finance team and international M&A strategy. Prior to his promotion to CEO – Australia in 2022, he was appointed Deputy CEO – Australia in 2021, where he worked closely with the Australian Executive Committee across all areas of the business to support the business through planned growth, drive the company culture, and help set the strategy for further expansion. He is an energetic and authentic leader who guides business growth and outcomes in a consistent, engaging and transparent fashion.

Jane Kittel is the CEO of MPM Group, Australia’s largest group of plan management providers, including My Plan Manager and National Disability Support Partners (NDSP). Since joining My Plan Manager in 2020, she has driven transformation through investments in people, processes, and technology. In 2021 and 2022, she led the acquisition of Assist Plan Managers and NDSP, expanding MPM Group’s reach to over 62,000 clients. With a career starting in financial services in 1986, Kittel has held senior roles at AMP and Westpac and served on several boards, including Catherine House, University of South Australia and Business SA.

Lionel Charmetant joined GB in 2022 as chief operating officer (COO) for the Australian Operation and was later appointed Deputy CEO – Personal Injury. His extensive experience includes serving as COO at Allianz Partners Australia from 2015 to 2022, where he managed diverse teams across claims management, contact centres, digital product ownership, and more. Charmetant led transformative initiatives that significantly enhanced customer experience, drove automation and strengthened governance in a complex regulatory environment.
At GB, he is dedicated to fostering a strong company culture, supporting over 1,000 operations colleagues, and spearheading innovative solutions that reinforce GB’s market leadership and commitment to exceptional customer service.
With 25 years of experience across the Australasian and United Kingdom insurance markets, Charmetant is a specialist in the claims investigation and management sector.
Starting as a Surveillance Operative and Factual Claims Investigator before joining Gallagher Bassett International (GBI) in 2000, he has undertaken several roles including investigation, technical claims management, operational leadership and C-suite executive management.

Diskin has led high-performing teams in both the northern and southern hemispheres and has significant experience in managing claims management programs across international markets.

Tanith joined Gallagher Bassett in November 2022 as Head of People Operations, where she optimised HR functions and fostered collaboration. Promoted to General Manager People & Culture in 2024, she now provides strategic oversight to support internal objectives. Before GB, Tanith worked at Allianz Partners from 2021 to 2022, driving HR initiatives and global programs through the challenges of COVID-19. She also held key roles at MIGAS Apprentices & Trainees and Coles Liquor, contributing to employee diversity and managing employee relations. Additionally, she played a pivotal role in government contract renewals, including projects with the Northern Territory Government and Department of Transport and Main Roads, updating HR policies to meet specific requirements.
