Mia Wilson leads a skilled team of customer service agents and underwriters at CHU, dedicated to serving the business’s direct customer base and overseeing the day-to-day management of $25 million in premiums. In her role, she is instrumental in guiding and motivating her team to achieve excellence. She is deeply involved in engaging with local communities, building strong relationships to better understand and meet their unique needs. Her leadership and strategic oversight are vital to the ongoing success and growth of CHU’s direct customer segment.
In addition to her core responsibilities, Wilson has been a driving force behind several key projects that will help CHU adapt to future challenges. She has leveraged her extensive underwriting knowledge and customer experience to assist in the development of a new insurance product that directly addresses affordability and underinsurance. She has provided crucial guidance from a coverage and risk perspective while offering valuable insights into the needs of vulnerable communities.
Currently, Wilson is halfway through an MBA, which she plans to complete by late 2025. She is already applying her learnings to strengthen her leadership and project management skills, driven by a passion to create lasting, meaningful change within the insurance industry.
