Allan Hart joined Coast Claims in 1994 after earning a business and management degree. He began in property and casualty but soon specialized in marine claims. In 2007, he became a managing partner and was appointed president in 2020. Hart now focuses on strategic growth and building a strong team across Western Canada. He holds Chartered Risk Manager (CRM) and Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designations and is an accredited member of the International Institute of Marine Surveying (IIMS). He also serves on the board of the Canadian Independent Adjusters’ Association (CIAA).

Fraser Anderson began his independent adjusting career in 1992 with a national firm before becoming a partner in a boutique firm that merged with Coast Claims in 2017. He became a director and was appointed vice president in 2020. Anderson splits his time between management and adjusting, specializing in large residential and commercial property losses, course of construction, and liability claims. He has over a decade of experience handling dispute resolution claims across BC. Anderson sits on the Board of Directors for the Insurance Council of B.C., holds a CRM designation, and is a fellow of the CIP Society.

Katherine Solomon is a claims manager at Arch Insurance Canada. She is responsible for examining multi-line senior-level claims in the Arch Canada claims department. She joined Arch in May 2016 and primarily handles professional liability claims, in addition to other lines. Solomon is a graduate of the University of Toronto, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree with a sociology major. She has also completed her Chartered Insurance Professional Designation and is currently taking the final course required in order to complete her Certified Risk Management designation. Prior to becoming a claims examiner, Solomon spent one year as a claims coordinator for a large property insurance restoration company. She has 15 years of claims handling experience within the commercial insurance industry, including three years as a third-party administrator for Lloyd’s of London syndicates. She is committed to continuing her professional development through education going forward.

Val Bosiaga is a claims manager at Arch Insurance Canada. He is responsible for examining claims of various complexity and severity. He joined Arch Canada as a senior claims examiner in May 2020. Bosiaga is result-driven and customer-oriented, and he possesses an excellent understanding of the commercial insurance field and all its intricacies. He has been an insurance professional since 2006, having successfully completed his Chartered Insurance Professional certificate, and is working toward obtaining further professional certificates and designations. Prior to his insurance career, Bosiaga had enlisted with the Canadian Armed Forces as an infantry soldier with the Royal Regiment of Canada.

Kyle Lutterman is an information security professional with over 10 years of experience in managed services with a focus on incident response. He has supported multiple government agencies and Fortune 500 clients and currently leads the cyber risk engineering team at Arch Insurance. In this role, he developed a proprietary framework for cyber insurance underwriters to follow, and he consults with organizations seeking to enhance their cyber controls to obtain cyber insurance. In his free time, he enjoys golf and playing with his two young children.

Rich Gatz is vice president, head of cyber claims for Arch Insurance Group. He is a cyber insurance and privacy subject matter expert and a distinguished Fellow of Information Privacy with the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
A professed “coverage geek,” he enjoys crafting policy language that solves risk for Arch customers. He has spoken on various panels and at national conferences regarding cyber claims, insurance coverage, data breach response, and privacy issues plaguing technology.
Gatz is a graduate of Ohio State University and DePaul University School of Law and is admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois.

In personal lines, Burns & Wilcox grew nearly 30 percent overall and nearly 50 percent in new business production, cementing its position as the largest personal insurance wholesaler in the US.
In 2024, the Burns & Wilcox personal lines team launched the FloodPlus product through Burns & Wilcox IssueQuick, a proprietary and automated rate-quote-bind-issue platform. Utilizing a unique Flood API, FloodPlus pairs cutting-edge risk modeling with claims data, alongside the broadest primary flood coverage form in the marketplace.
The team also announced the expansion of the Burns & Wilcox relationship with Wildfire Defense Systems to include Texas and New Mexico, bringing a unique wildfire loss prevention and mitigation service that now includes 12 US states.
The Burns & Wilcox professional liability team continued building its bench strength and furthered its depth of expertise and geographic footprint. Additionally, the team established a multitude of new insurance company partners that will continue to bring innovative solutions to the marketplace.
Technology once again was central to the success of Burns & Wilcox over the last year. Capitalizing on a significant investment with Salesforce, the company rolled out new CRM capabilities along with a Commercial Comparative Rater that handles thousands of submission opportunities monthly.
Looking at 2025, Burns & Wilcox expects to increase automation to drive even greater production efficiencies and capture increased market share.
