Sonia Boyle has nearly three decades of experience in progressive senior HR roles. In her current position as chief people officer at Gore Mutual Insurance, she is responsible for leading the people practices and strategies to support growth and create high-performance leadership capabilities and exceptional employee experiences across the company. Prior to joining Gore Mutual Insurance, she held senior HR roles as vice president, human resources at TD and vice president, human resources at GE.
Boyle is co-chair of the governing body for the Toronto CHRO Leadership Summit. She sits on the advisory committees for the Conference Board of Canada Council for HR executives and the IPMI HR Management Institute. She is a former member of the Board of Governors for Junior Achievement of Central Ontario and is a current board director for both Food4Kids Ontario and Banyan Community Services. She is also an active member of the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario.
Boyle holds two bachelor’s degrees, in labour relations and sociology, from McMaster University and a post-graduate certificate in human resources management. She also holds the designation of Certified Human Resources Leader.
