Lorie Phair is a dynamic leader with over 30 years of experience in brokerage and business management, serving as the chief advocate for Canadian Broker Network (CBN)’s proudly Canadian and fiercely independent mission to bring the best insurance services to Canadian consumers.
Since taking the helm in 2017, Phair has led CBN to remarkable growth. Under her leadership, the organization, founded in 2002, now represents more than 30 members, managing $3 billion in property casualty premiums, employee benefits, and life and financial services. With over 50 offices and 1,500 employees across Canada, CBN’s commitment to collaboration, innovation, and growth is deeply ingrained in its members’ success.
Phair’s extensive industry experience spans senior leadership roles in both Canadian and international brokerages. Her expertise includes managing insurance teams and navigating market cycles, always keeping a pulse on emerging trends. Prior to CBN, she served as CEO of Ingenie Canada, leading the successful launch of a telematics program for young drivers.
In 2006, Phair founded LePhair Associates, a consultancy offering training and coaching programs for major insurers and brokerages. She has also contributed to various industry associations and not-for-profit organizations, including serving on boards for RIBO, CSIO, and Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences. Today, she remains an advisory board member for ISC Group and a committee member for the National CCIR NatCat group.
