Mitchell Patriarche is an underwriter at Everest Reinsurance Company (Everest) who has rapidly established himself as an emerging talent in the Canadian reinsurance market. Since joining the company in September 2024, he has completed five rotations through its Reinsurance Associate Program, gaining experience across treaty, facultative, and hybrid underwriting departments, as well as claims and actuarial pricing. This broad foundation accelerated his development and led to his promotion to Underwriter at age 25.
Committed to continuous learning, Patriarche earned his Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designation in 2026 while building expertise in underwriting, portfolio analysis, and broker and client relationship management. He was recognized with Everest’s Spirit Award in 2025 for exemplifying the company’s values of collaboration, professionalism, and teamwork.
Beyond his underwriting responsibilities, Patriarche actively supports the development of future insurance professionals. He serves as a mentor within Everest’s mentorship program and volunteers as an ambassador for the Young Insurance Professionals of Toronto (YIPT).
Driven by curiosity, relationship building, and a passion for learning, he is committed to helping clients navigate an evolving risk landscape while contributing to the long-term strength and growth of Canada’s reinsurance industry.
