Wong Sze Keed is the first female CEO of AIA Singapore and a transformative leader whose vision is centred on helping people Live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives. With a strong people-first mandate, she has championed major initiatives at AIA Singapore, including the Chronic Disease Management Programme and pioneering first-in-market mental health coverage that now benefits over 1.3 million employees in Singapore.
Sze Keed also spearheaded the launch of the innovative AIA+ mobile superapp and introduced solutions such as AIA Ultimate Critical Cover, which includes mental health coverage, and the AIA Centurion PA plan to better support the evolving needs of Singapore’s aging population. A firm believer in inclusion and equal opportunity, she has built one of the industry’s most gender-balanced leadership teams, with women making up over 40% of leadership roles.
Under Sze Keed’s leadership, AIA Singapore achieved 16% value of new business growth in the first half of FY2025, was named Best Employee Insurance Provider (Gold) for 20 consecutive years and ranked first in the Insurance category of Singapore’s Best Employers by The Straits Times. As the newly elected president of the Life Insurance Association Singapore, she plays a key role in shaping the future of the insurance industry.

Began her career more than 30 years ago as a frontline financial consultant

Joined the company as Chief Partnership Distribution Officer in 2013 and progressed to Chief Distribution Officer in 2014. Also played a key role in establishing AIA Financial Advisers in 2017.
Proceeded to serve as Chief Executive Officer of AIA Singapore since 1 July 2020.

Appointed as Chief Executive Officer of AIA Singapore, she assumed leadership during a particularly challenging period (COVID-19 pandemic). As the company’s first female CEO, she championed a “people-first” approach, setting a new benchmark for compassionate leadership and organisational culture.

Led AIA Singapore to achieve consistently strong growth, attaining 16% increase in Value of New Business in the first half of 2025. Under her leadership, AIA Singapore achieved many prestigious awards such as the recent Best Employee Insurance Provider, Gold for the 20th consecutive year, Singapore's Best Employers - #1 in the Insurance category and more: Our Awards | awards | AIA Singapore.
She also led the AIA Singapore team to reinvent and offer customer-first innovations such as:
- AIA+ superapp is the first-in-market transformation app that simplifies the lives of our customers by seamlessly integrating employee benefits with individual insurance on a single platform.
- Since 2025, we have been offering substantial enhancements to our corporate insurance policies, including the first-in-market expanded inpatient coverage for mental health care, as well as other enhanced benefits. These improvements provide more accessible and inclusive support for our corporate customers and their employees, all at no additional premium.
- Launched Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) in partnership with Amplify Health, which leverages technology and multi-disciplinary health expertise to help Singaporeans with diabetes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol adopt sustainable lifestyle changes for healthier living.
- AIA Centurion PA, a personal accident (PA) insurance plan designed to holistically address the growing needs of Singapore’s aging population. It is the first personal accident plan in Singapore to cover neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease/severe dementia and idiopathic Parkinson’s disease. An optional rider allows reimbursement for day or home care services needed for illness management. The plan provides coverage up to age 100 and offers a high entry age of up to 80 years old.

Industry Leadership & DEI Champion: elected president of the Life Insurance Association (LIA) Singapore (2025). Championed diversity, building a gender-balanced leadership team (40% women), and fostered talent development through partnerships like SIA Academy.
She is also the Chairman of The Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) Singapore Audit Committee, which oversees the Institute's financial reporting process, risk management, internal control systems and processes and audit function. She is also a member of the Board of Governors for the Singapore College of Insurance (SCI).
A member of the Financial Centre Advisory Panel (FCAP), she serves on this advisory panel established by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to provide guidance on the development of Singapore’s financial sector. She also a member of Financial Sector Tripartite Committee (FSTC), representing the insurance industry in this committee, which is co-chaired by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) to prepare the financial workforce for future challenges.
She is also a board of director with Global Asia Insurance Partnership (GAIP), a Centre of
Excellence and focal point for the global insurance industry, regulators and academic, to
collaborate and deepen capabilities in risk management and insurance.

“It’s very important to set an example and to not only inspire but mentor other females,” she adds.
In addition to her sharp marketing eye, the key to Phillips Topping’s success lies in her high-energy approach and positive attitude.
“As the leader of a team, it’s important to motivate and encourage your team members. People work very hard and do their best and it’s important to recognize these efforts. For my career overall, my attitude has been one of curiosity. The more you can learn, the better you’ll understand the business, and then the deeper your knowledge will become, making you a better team member.”

A significant part of his focus today is staying ahead of regulatory change while maintaining a seamless client experience. He tracks updates from regulators and lenders closely and works with his teams to adjust systems as needed.
“My approach to my role and my career has always been rooted in passion, focus, and a relentless pursuit of excellence,” he says. “I’ve never been driven solely by profit or business metrics. I believe in hiring great talent, trusting them, and pushing boundaries because innovation doesn’t come from playing it safe.”
His experience isn’t limited to Canada. Ibrahim has worked in the US and UAE, which shaped his global perspective and comfort with adapting to different markets. He thrives on risk, viewing setbacks as stepping stones to progress.
“I’ve always believed that if you love what you do, you’ll never settle, and that attitude has guided every decision I’ve made,” he adds.
That outlook continues to guide his work and reflects his broader goal of helping move the industry forward. Through his brokerage, lending company, and legal services, Ibrahim is focused on creating long-term value for his clients, his teams, and others working in the field.
