Leadership
As director of financial lines, Jamie Thompson is responsible for six global portfolios, including professional indemnity, financial institutions, directors and officers, medical malpractice, life science and cyber, with a combined GWP of approximately £450m. Before rejoining the London team in May 2021, Thompson spent three years in Toronto as QBE’s director of Canada, where he was responsible for the development of the Canadian business, which included casualty, property, auto and financial lines portfolios. Thompson has over 18 years of experience in the London insurance market.

Erica Kofie joined QBE Europe in 2017. She is responsible for the UK and European cyber proposition, enhancing the internal underwriting process and client offering. Kofie has over 15 years of experience in the cyber insurance market and has worked with businesses globally, including the US, Europe and Latin America, to help them understand and mitigate their cyber exposures.

Lilian Vanvieldt-Gray has worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years and is a longtime community activist who uses her experience, influence and passion to bring about positive change. As Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer (CDEIO) at Alliant Insurance Services, she leads efforts to promote diversity, equity and inclusion within Alliant and throughout the insurance industry, with a focus on awareness, training and mentoring. Vanvieldt-Gray is also one of the country’s foremost brokers in the education space, leading the Alliant Kindergarten to Community College (K-14) Public Entity program.
Vanvieldt-Gray is a stage-3 breast cancer survivor. She currently serves as director of the Susan G. Komen Leadership Foundation in San Diego and was the organization’s Honorary Breast Cancer Survivor of the Year in 2018.

In his role as COO of Alliant Insurance Services, Peter Carpenter is responsible for managing all day-to-day aspects of the company’s operations and attracting the industry’s best and highest performing sales professionals. He has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry and joined Alliant in 2008, when it acquired ClearPoint, a Seattle-based employee benefits consulting firm that he cofounded and where he served as CEO. Prior to founding ClearPoint, Carpenter served as vice president of sales and marketing for a large regional insurance brokerage firm and as a group representative for Sun Life Insurance Company.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from Colby College in Waterville, ME, where he majored in government and Spanish.
