“No matter how many clients I have, I make sure to call each one personally every quarter. It’s a chance to not only update them on their portfolio, but also check on how they’re doing personally”

Suneeta Padda has made a remarkable impact in the insurance industry with her collaborative spirit and expertise in regulatory compliance. Her career journey began at the UK financial market regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority, where she started honing her skills and passion for making a positive difference in the broader industry. Her overall accomplishments and contributions received industry recognition when she was named one of Insurance Business UK’s Elite Women of 2023.
In 2012, Padda founded Padda Consulting. The company has since gone on to become a trailblazer in regulatory compliance. Padda and her team at Padda Consulting have consistently demonstrated their core values of commitment, collaboration, and consultancy in all their business dealings. She considers starting her own company one of her greatest achievements.
Padda has become known for her “Padda method”, which involves making introductions and initiating conference calls to ensure everyone is on the same page. Her efficient, tactful, and modest approach has earned her the trust and respect of her peers.
Despite rapid changes in the legal and compliance environment over the past two years, Padda has remained undaunted. She ensures that regulatory issues are at the forefront and helps her clients meet all the requirements in a post-Brexit future. Her eagerness to share her knowledge and skills with others in the compliance arena is equally matched by her thirst for expanding and deepening her expertise.
Padda’s ability to embrace and apply technology has made compliance expertise more accessible for firms of all sizes. She is even designing bite-sized animations to help firms better understand some of the key upcoming regulatory changes. More recently, she launched a compliance portal for solo-regulated insurance firms.
Padda’s dedication to mentoring young female professionals and supporting their learning and development is commendable. A former committee member at the Independent Women in Insurance Network, she advocates for the advancement of women in the industry.
As an advisory board member for Race Action Through Leadership, Padda works with senior insurance leaders of colour to create a stronger voice of influence within the industry, and she has played an instrumental role in collating data to measure and monitor representation within insurance and other organisations.
Padda’s unwavering commitment to collaboration, mentorship, and regulatory compliance makes her a true inspiration and a force for good in the insurance industry.
