Amanda Scott is a managing director and the global mergers and acquisitions (M&A) leader at WTW based in London. She is responsible for leading a global team that helps clients evaluate and address the critical people-related issues, assets, liabilities, risks and opportunities surrounding corporate transactions.
Her focus is on human-led transformation that yields strong financial outcomes and growth. Previously, she led a team of 300 consultants advising on executive compensation, rewards, employee experience, and transformation.
Scott is the founder and CEO of Mike’s Mates, a mental health charity in the UK. Additionally, she is a board member for Global Women 4 Wellbeing (GW4W) and the Viviana Durante Ballet Company; on the Remuneration Committee of Pensions Management Institute (PMI); and on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) council at Bayes Business School.
She received an award as one of the top 25 Global M&A consultants of 2024 by the Consulting Report; 2024 Elite Women by Insurance Business UK; Excellence in Leadership by Consulting Magazine; HERo for Inclusion and Diversity by Yahoo Finance; and highlighted as one of the UK’s 50 Leading Lights for Leadership & Kindness. She regularly publishes industry thought leadership, provides commentary to the press and social media, and is an active public speaker.
She graduated with an MBA in management & organization, and finance from the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. There, she was the 2007 president and 2006 vice president of finance of the board of directors for the Part-Time MBA Association. Additionally, she holds a BA in Natural Sciences from Johns Hopkins University.
