Karen Ko is a senior vice president and the AFIC insurance leader in the Marsh Credit Specialties team in London. She leads the team in working with global lenders, funds and arrangers, tailoring and executing aircraft finance transactions and providing client support in all aspects of aircraft finance transactions.
Prior to her role in the London insurance market, Karen started her career as a general commercial, corporate and commercial property lawyer in her hometown of Brisbane, Australia.
Outside of her “day job,” Karen believes in the need to drive diversity, equity and inclusion within the market, industry and local communities. She acts as one of the co-chairs of Marsh McLennan’s MOSAIC Colleague Resource Group, which focuses on fostering an open and inclusive environment for all MMC colleagues of all cultures.
Karen is also an active DEI participant in the London insurance market and as a mentor as part of Marsh’s support for the Business in the Community network. She believes in creating communities where diverse perspectives are valued and opportunities for growth and advancement are accessible to all.
