Jerry Becerra, CPCU, is a native of San Francisco, California and attended UC Berkeley. He has been a property and liability agent since 1983 and has worked on the retail brokerage side since 1985. He obtained his CPCU designation in 1992 and opened Barbary Insurance Brokerage in 2006. Over the years, he has worked with a wide variety of clients in nearly every field imaginable. He likes to oversee more complex liability coverages and help business owners manage their property exposures, including property in transit, business income, and equipment.

Carlos Arreguin had a happy childhood in Guanajuato, Mexico where he went to school and raised animals. His family migrated to San Francisco, CA in the 1970s. In high school, he joined a locally touring dance group and won a scholarship to the San Francisco Ballet, but decided not to pursue a career in dance. He became a travel agent and tried other jobs, eventually landing at a janitorial firm where he was quickly promoted to foreman, supervisor, and account manager overseeing the safety program. He was referred to Jerry Becerra, who helped him obtain a license, and then became an account manager. Carlos still loves working at Barbary after 14 years with the company.
