As CEO of Munich Re Specialty Insurance, Michael Kerner has oversight for the company’s primary specialty commercial insurance business in North America. He has more than 30 years of experience in the global re/insurance market, including leadership and senior executive roles in business development, underwriting, strategy, ceded reinsurance, risk management and actuarial. He has a BS in mathematics and economics from Binghamton University. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

After completing the risk management program at Temple University in 2009, Kevin Johnson joined Munich Re as part of the International Graduate Trainee Program. During his 12 years with the company, he served as chief of staff to the CEO and held various positions in underwriting, including head of insurance programs underwriting for brokers and banks. He became president of insurance programs in 2019. In addition to having a BBA from Fox School of Business at Temple University, he received his MBA in Finance from Saint Joseph’s University. He has also obtained his ARe, ARM, and CPCU designations.

David Carey is chief financial officer of HRMP, a Jencap company, and its affiliate companies Aran Insurance Underwriters and MiniCo Insurance. He is a member of the Insurance Accountants and Systems Association and the Massachusetts Association of Accountants, and is a licensed life, accident and health insurance producer.

He has over 35 years of executive-level experience, including 10 years as an agency owner specializing in life, health, and property and casualty insurance programs for the supermarket industry. He has held leadership positions responsible for sales, marketing, technology, underwriting, claims, and customer care. Mike holds a BSBA degree in management from Lamar University.

He has spent most of his career in delegated authority program management and is skilled in portfolio and relationship management for large books of business.
