After cofounding Risk Placement Services in 1997 as a scratch operation with only four employees, Joel Cavaness has been instrumental in driving its rapid growth to become one of the largest US wholesale brokers, MGAs and program managers. A graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a BS in Business Administration, he additionally holds Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Associate in Risk Management designations.

Bruce Bahn serves as the VP Business and Product Development for RPS. He is responsible for leading the new product/program strategy and execution in collaboration with key carrier and reinsurance partners. Prior to joining RPS, he was VP of product for BCS Financial. He brings more than 20 years of product management and development experience with leading multi-line and specialty insurance companies. He holds the RPLU designation (PLUS), an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, and a BS from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.

Seth Everitt has a diverse career background including the last 13 years in the insurance industry. Currently, he leads sales and business development activities for the RPS Signature Programs division, which is more than $500 million in premium. Prior to his role at RPS, he built and led the first ever national, small business sales team for Arthur J. Gallagher from 4 to more than 25 sales representatives and $15 million in new business premium.
Prior to Gallagher, he conceptualized, built, and led the first-ever inside sales and acquisitions team at Nationwide Brokerage Solutions (NBS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Nationwide Insurance. Before leading the NBS inside sales and acquisitions team, he successfully built and managed the transformational iQuote small commercial team at NBS, which was a first for the organization. Both of these platforms are generating significant amounts of revenue for the company today. Seth is a graduate of Kent State University.

Damian Palovick is a senior vice president of underwriting in the North American P&C Programs Unit. He is responsible for the profitable performance and growth of the property and specialty portfolios, strategic planning, and team management.
Damian has 30 years of industry experience in all lines of underwriting with three national carriers. He has spent most of his career in delegated authority program management and is skilled in portfolio and relationship management for large books of business. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Psychology from Swarthmore College, as well as a CPCU designation.
