Michael Palotay joined NAS insurance in 2009 to lead its new cyber and tech underwriting facility. When Tokio Marine HCC acquired NAS, Palotay was the chief underwriting officer, focusing on maximizing underwriting profitability, product development, and overall business development. He continued in this role within the Cyber & Professional Lines group at Tokio Marine HCC through December 2021. On January 1, 2022, he was appointed president of the group, where he continues to focus on delivering innovative products and services that drive success for its clients, partners, and employees.

Jacob Ingerslev is responsible for the Open Market Cyber & Tech E&O underwriting team and products at Tokio Marine HCC – CPLG. He has over 20 years of experience in a wide range of underwriting disciplines across the US, European, and Lloyd’s insurance markets. He most recently worked at The Hartford, where he was chief underwriting officer for the Cyber Risk and Technology E&O business. Prior to this, Ingerslev was head of US technology E&O, cyber, and media liability at CNA.

Catherine Lyle is SVP of the cyber claims and incident response teams for Tokio Marine HCC - CPLG. With more than 25 years of claims experience, her work focuses on leading a team that ensures the quick resolution of cyber events and claims, as well as litigation involving professional liability policies for technology, media, and telecommunication companies.
Lyle is a frequent speaker and published author regarding cyber law and claims. Prior to joining CPLG, she was the head of claims at Coalition and an attorney for General Electric, as well as an assistant attorney general for The Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Lyle is a member of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Colorado Bars.

Desiree Khoury is senior vice president of marketing and business development for Tokio Marine HCC – Cyber & Professional Lines Group (CPLG) and leads marketing and business development activities for underwriting, which includes market-leading specialty coverages for cyber liability, technology E&O, EPLI, architects and engineers, several niche professional liability programs, as well as reinsured ‘bolt-on’ solutions for other carriers.
As head of marketing for the division, Khoury is responsible for advertising, broker communication, PR, media relationships, and all internal and external communications. In addition, she leads the development of industry partnerships to help grow distribution channels and policyholder support services. She has been with the company for over 15 years.
She received the Elite Woman in Insurance Award in 2019 for her energy, technical knowledge, and “whatever it takes” attitude.

Rich Gatz is vice president, head of cyber claims for Arch Insurance Group. He is a cyber insurance and privacy subject matter expert and a distinguished Fellow of Information Privacy with the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
A professed “coverage geek,” he enjoys crafting policy language that solves risk for Arch customers. He has spoken on various panels and at national conferences regarding cyber claims, insurance coverage, data breach response, and privacy issues plaguing technology.
Gatz is a graduate of Ohio State University and DePaul University School of Law and is admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois.

In 2024, the Burns & Wilcox personal lines team launched the FloodPlus product through Burns & Wilcox IssueQuick, a proprietary and automated rate-quote-bind-issue platform. Utilizing a unique Flood API, FloodPlus pairs cutting-edge risk modeling with claims data, alongside the broadest primary flood coverage form in the marketplace.
The team also announced the expansion of the Burns & Wilcox relationship with Wildfire Defense Systems to include Texas and New Mexico, bringing a unique wildfire loss prevention and mitigation service that now includes 12 US states.
The Burns & Wilcox professional liability team continued building its bench strength and furthered its depth of expertise and geographic footprint. Additionally, the team established a multitude of new insurance company partners that will continue to bring innovative solutions to the marketplace.
Technology once again was central to the success of Burns & Wilcox over the last year. Capitalizing on a significant investment with Salesforce, the company rolled out new CRM capabilities along with a Commercial Comparative Rater that handles thousands of submission opportunities monthly.
