Greg Zimmer is chief executive officer of Alliant Insurance Services and previously served as president, responsible for implementing the firm’s strategic direction, including all mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activity. Prior to joining Alliant in 1998 as chief financial officer, Zimmer and his partners built a significant financial services firm that ultimately was sold to GMAC, where he served as senior vice president. His diverse career background also includes experience in corporate finance and venture capital. Zimmer holds a bachelor’s degree in economics/systems science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a master’s degree from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.

As chief operating officer of Alliant Insurance Services, Peter Carpenter is responsible for overseeing all operations of the company. Additionally, he directs Alliant’s M&A activity and leads its hiring strategy, which is dedicated to attracting the industry’s best and highest-performing sales professionals. Carpenter has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry and joined Alliant in 2008 when it acquired ClearPoint, a Seattle-based employee benefits consulting firm that he co-founded and where he served as CEO.
Prior to founding ClearPoint, Carpenter served as vice president of sales and marketing for a large regional insurance brokerage firm and as a group representative for Sun Life Insurance Company. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Colby College in Waterville, ME, where he majored in government and Spanish.

Lilian Vanvieldt is a 35-plus-year insurance industry veteran and longtime community activist who uses her experience, influence, and passion to bring about positive change. In April 2021, she was named Alliant’s chief diversity & inclusion officer (CDIO). As head of Alliant’s diversity, equity & inclusion initiative, Vanvieldt leads a companywide effort to promote diversity and inclusion within the organization and throughout the broader insurance industry through a focus on awareness, training, and mentoring. At the heart of this effort is her longstanding commitment to expanding opportunities for career growth and advancement for individuals with diverse backgrounds and life experiences.

Aaisha Hamid is an award-winning and Yale-certified global belonging strategist with over a decade of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) program management experience in some of the largest and most financially successful legal and financial services firms in the nation, in academic institutions, and on community boards. She currently serves as the Vice President and DE&I manager at Alliant Insurance Services, where she designed and helps execute the company’s six-pillar DE&I strategy, oversees the management of all projects and initiatives, and acts as a thought leader for Alliant’s leadership and clients.

John Law serves as the in-country technical director and head of business development, bringing 34 years of experience in loss adjusting. Throughout his career, he has handled a wide range of complex claims, including property, construction/erection all risks (CAR) and business interruption. Law has held multiple management roles across Hong Kong, Taiwan and China, where he has overseen operations and managed major, high-value claims. As general manager of operations in China, he has dealt with multimillion-dollar losses stemming from fires, floods, tornadoes and other natural catastrophes. Law is also a senior associate with the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF).
