David DeMott assumed the role of president of Gridiron Insurance Underwriters 11 years ago and has grown the insurance program manager by an average of 24% per year with several of the largest insurers in the world. He sits on the Florida Surplus Lines Board and serves on the WSIA Legislative Committee. He received his undergraduate degree in risk management and insurance from Florida State University. DeMott holds an MBA from the University of Miami. He also holds the CPCU, AMIM, AU, ARM, ARe and ASLI designations and holds active Agent and Surplus Lines Broker licenses in all 50 states.

Peggy Vidal joined Gridiron Insurance Underwriters 10 years ago after receiving her undergraduate degree in accounting from Florida International University. She started at Gridiron as a staff accountant while earning her master’s degree in accounting and ultimately obtaining her CPA license. Through the past 10 years, Vidal has grown the finance team and helped foster a strong company culture at Gridiron.

Gridiron Insurance Underwriters was founded in 2006. Headquartered in Plantation, FL, it has a dedicated program manager and MGU. Gridiron is strategically placed to manage insurance facilities and affinity-based program business on a regional and national basis. It currently manages six programs: inland marine (admitted and non-admitted), coastal property, excess liability, artisan contracting, specialty NY construction, and private flood (Non-NFIP). The company offers its customers online access to four of its programs. Paul Zahensky joined REInsurePro in 2023, bringing with him over 35 years of experience in the P&C insurance technology industry. He has worked for tier 1 carrier organizations in senior leadership roles, guided the development of insurance solutions for vendor organizations and assisted colleagues with carrier transformation programs. As CIO, Zahensky utilizes his expertise to develop and implement solutions that fit the company’s business model and satisfy its needs.
