“My favorite saying is, ‘Faith it ‘til you make it. Don’t fake it; believe in yourself and give yourself enough grace to learn along the way.’ That one-word change has removed a lot of imposter syndrome for me”

As president of PCF Insurance Services, Jenni Lee Crocker leverages over 28 years of experience, responsible for fueling agency partnership potential with cross-selling opportunities, tech- and data-driven strategies, and strategic partner initiatives to drive PCF’s organic growth.
“I am incredibly passionate about unifying teams, guiding companies through market challenges, and championing diversity and inclusion to create a people-centric culture that fosters a sense of belonging,” says Crocker.
In the first year under her leadership, PCF Insurance:
• increased annual revenue by 10 percent
• acquired 75 new agencies
• added 20 new product lines to its portfolio
Laser-focused on strategic growth, Crocker says, “I’m energized by our PCF teams, and my goal every day is to serve my colleagues. I want all PCF team members to feel the passion I bring to the business each day.”
Before joining PCF, Crocker served at Marsh McLennan for over ten years, ultimately becoming managing director where she led the firm’s Mid-Atlantic division, driving over $100 million in revenue for the firm.
Crocker’s success at Marsh McLennan was built upon through her time in the insurance practice at EY. As a director of business development, she gained valuable experience leading global strategies for sales and marketing, mergers, and acquisitions.
“I was mentored by the EY Office Managing Partner and Head of the Insurance practice,” adds Crocker. “He showed me how the industry is really a business of problem-solving.”
Today, Crocker serves on the board of directors for PCF Insurance as well as the board of directors for the University of Richmond and Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business Risk.
Reflecting on the standout achievements of her career, Crocker recalls the moments that demanded resilience.
“Like most people in our industry, I started as a producer. Every great producer is resilient at heart. You can hear “no” every day for 10 days and still wake up energized and ready to try again,” she says.
“I often consider how those early experiences helped me develop mental fortitude and optimism for bigger career moments.”
Constantly pushing herself, Crocker’s career growth has been defined by hustle and overcoming structural barriers.
“The insurance sector, particularly in leadership positions, is predominantly dominated by men. Women are uniquely gifted to be great listeners and problem-solvers. Great listeners and problem-solvers make terrific risk professionals. Our innate empathy enables us to hear the responses and needs of our clients,” she says.
Crocker aspires to leave a legacy in the insurance industry by inspiring women worldwide to pursue insurance production as a career.
“Ultimately, I tell young women in insurance to lean into the qualities that make them uniquely female, as these will be the qualities that drive their success.”

As a product manager, Rios knows that success is all about prioritizing and making trade-offs. The VP continually strives to find a balance between upskilling her team and herself.
“The more capable my team is, the more they can take on and allow me to tackle difficult problems, of course, but there is always a balance between the longer-term training and needing to get some work done in the short term.”
While Rios admits she doesn’t always get it right, the VP takes every experience as an opportunity to grow and learn. “I find a lot of value and enjoyment in trying something new, and excitement in not knowing what problem needs solving on a given day.”

As an elite leader in insurance, Rios hopes to use her influence to inspire young women to be bold.
“As I have moved into more leadership roles, I think it’s imperative to support others in taking risks,” she says. “My favorite saying is, ‘Faith it ‘til you make it. Don’t fake it; believe in yourself and give yourself enough grace to learn along the way.’ That one-word change has removed a lot of imposter syndrome for me.”
Hoping to see more females enter the insurance sector, Rios says the soft skills that are often attributed to feminine energy are precisely what the industry needs.
“Insurance is about people and restoring lives after a traumatic event. We need that human connection to help others rebuild. Those skills are positive and infectious energy.”
