Profile
Deputy general counsel and managing director of claims at Euclid Transactional, Brittany Zimmer combines sharp legal and insurance expertise with a deep, sustained commitment to people, process, and culture.
Joining Euclid in 2019 as just the third member of the claims team, Zimmer stepped into a rapidly scaling business. As the book of business and headcount expanded dramatically, she faced the dual challenge of managing a growing volume of complex claims while onboarding and training new team members.
Rather than viewing growth as a strain, she turned it into an engine for excellence. She has directly trained a large percentage of Euclid’s claims staff and serves as an informal mentor to many more, shaping a consistently high standard of analysis, communication, and client service.
Her professional strength lies in resolving disputes in ways that are fair, efficient, and grounded in sophisticated legal and insurance judgment. Having worked on both sides of the insurance process, she is adept at navigating complex, high-stakes issues and at articulating those issues clearly to insureds, carriers, and counsel. Colleagues credit her with successfully leading negotiations and resolutions in some of Euclid’s most challenging claims, consistently delivering fast and positive outcomes.
Zimmer’s approach to leadership is inherently team-centered. She believes her success is inseparable from the success of those around her and has made mentorship and training a core priority.
Her impact extends beyond operations. Zimmer has been instrumental in shaping Euclid’s culture, ensuring that team members feel welcome, supported, and fulfilled. She was a driving force behind the implementation of expanded family-forming benefits at Euclid, gathering data and building the case. These are now offered through the Carrot platform along with an annual stipend of $15,000 to support employees growing their families. She also serves as an advocate for three colleagues, providing regular feedback and career guidance, and helped develop Euclid’s Mock Claim program for summer interns to give early-career talent a hands-on introduction to claims handling.
Zimmer has further distinguished herself by streamlining complex procedures to make Euclid’s claims function nimbler without sacrificing quality, building frameworks for consistency across North America and EMEA, playing a key role in cementing CNA’s 2024 partnership with Euclid’s North American transactional insurance program, and earning promotion to Deputy General Counsel and Managing Director of Claims in March 2025.
Beyond Euclid, Zimmer is an active member of industry network Women of Transactional Risk (WOTR), helping design its framework, membership, and mission to connect and empower women in a predominantly male field.

A significant part of his focus today is staying ahead of regulatory change while maintaining a seamless client experience. He tracks updates from regulators and lenders closely and works with his teams to adjust systems as needed.
“My approach to my role and my career has always been rooted in passion, focus, and a relentless pursuit of excellence,” he says. “I’ve never been driven solely by profit or business metrics. I believe in hiring great talent, trusting them, and pushing boundaries because innovation doesn’t come from playing it safe.”
