Delivering complex risk solutions and paving the path for the next generation are the calling cards for Jasina Morris, senior vice president at Alliant Insurance Services.
Unlike many in the industry, she intentionally set her path toward insurance, graduating from the University of Mississippi with a degree in risk management and insurance. What followed has been a career characterized by reliability, leadership, and technical mastery.
Some of Morris’ key differentiators as an insurance professional include:
empowering team members
being highly focused on turning strategies into measurable results
maintaining close and collaborative relationships with clients and colleagues
continuously expanding her knowledge base
delivering decisive, solutions-focused leadership
These key traits allow her to navigate the challenges presented by her large and varied client base.
“My strongest professional quality is my ability to build trusted client relationships while delivering timely, effective risk solutions,” Morris says. “I manage a large book of business with a calm, low-stress approach and a grounded, easy-to-work-with style that clients and colleagues experience consistently.”
She also does not view her success through individual landmarks. Rather, she believes that collective wins are the true indicator of achievement.
Morris’s enduring passion for the industry is shown in her day-to-day work, having an infectious effect on those around her. She says, “I love what I do, and that enthusiasm shows up in how I lead, how I problem-solve, and how I show up for others. I take pride in being accountable, collaborative, and continuously curious, always focused on delivering meaningful results, growing as a leader, and helping elevate the industry.”
Morris’ professional journey has shaped her dedication to sponsorship and mentorship, inspiring her to champion broader access and representation across the insurance industry.
“Building my career required focus, excellence, and self-advocacy. It’s what drives my commitment to opening doors and expanding leadership opportunities for others,” she says.
And her commitment to the next generation of female insurance professionals is especially crucial given the context of an aging workforce crying out for young talent. “With a sizeable portion of insurance professionals nearing retirement, introducing women to insurance sooner and pairing early exposure with mentorship and sponsorship strengthens the talent pipeline, improves retention, and accelerates leadership readiness,” she says. “When women are developed intentionally from the start of their careers, they are more likely to stay, advance, and lead.”
Morris uses accolades such as her Elite Woman award to provide a positive example for younger women aiming to emulate her long-term success in the industry.

A significant part of his focus today is staying ahead of regulatory change while maintaining a seamless client experience. He tracks updates from regulators and lenders closely and works with his teams to adjust systems as needed.
“My approach to my role and my career has always been rooted in passion, focus, and a relentless pursuit of excellence,” he says. “I’ve never been driven solely by profit or business metrics. I believe in hiring great talent, trusting them, and pushing boundaries because innovation doesn’t come from playing it safe.”
