Profile
Miranda is managing director at Euclid Transactional and a trusted representations and warranties insurance (RWI) underwriter, known for her ability to lead on complex M&A deals.
With more than 20 years of experience across global insurance, finance, and underwriting, she has built a career defined by:
technical excellence
commercial judgment
deep commitment to elevating others
Beginning at EY in China and later Singapore, she gained a rigorous grounding in audit and financial analysis before pivoting into senior finance roles within insurance companies. Each move expanded her responsibility, sharpened her insight, and deepened her experience.
Today, based in New York, that dual perspective allows her to assess transactions holistically, balancing rigorous analysis with a clear view of commercial realities.
“That means deeply understanding the commercial objectives, stress-testing assumptions, and working closely with all stakeholders to anticipate where risk could crystallize,” explains Ma. “Scale doesn’t just amplify opportunity; it amplifies execution risk, so clarity, preparation, and decisive judgment become critical.”
Ma routinely works on transactions where the room for error is virtually nonexistent. She has helped lead some of Euclid Transactional’s largest deals to date, including transactions of up to $35 billion and multiple deals in the $10 billion range.
Her approach is rooted in discipline, and in high-stakes situations, clients and broker partners alike trust her. “That trust has been built over time through consistently delivering thoughtful risk analysis, clear decision-making, and reliable execution, particularly in situations where clients are navigating transactions with no standard playbook,” she says.
Ma considers her greatest achievement the reputation she has earned as a go-to RWI underwriter for the most complex, consequential deals in the market. It reflects years of experience across finance and underwriting and the ability to enable transactions while maintaining disciplined, thoughtful risk assessment. She has also been instrumental in building Euclid’s secondary RWI practice, further sharpening her insight into how different counterparties evaluate risk and enhancing the strength of the wider platform.
Her strongest professional quality is problem-solving grounded in commercial judgment. Ma thrives in complexity, engaging directly with brokers and clients to understand their goals and structuring coverage that is both responsive and disciplined. She brings rigor, curiosity, and accountability to every deal, constantly investing in understanding evolving M&A trends, financial structures, and jurisdictional nuances.
Additionally, as a woman who began her career in traditionally male-dominated front-office environments, Ma has navigated cultural and structural barriers with preparation, persistence, and results. She says, “I see it as a responsibility to inspire and support the next generation of female transactional insurance leaders.”
She uses her platform through Euclid’s Advocate and mentor programs and her leadership role with industry community group Women of Transactional Risk to help build networks, visibility, and confidence for female professionals entering transactional risk.
“Ultimately, I want to be remembered as someone who combined technical expertise with genuine engagement, built trust across teams and clients, and helped foster the next generation of leaders in a space that once felt unwelcoming to women,” says Ma.
