Akhil Chopra is a managing director and cyber growth leader for the Pacific Series of Lockton Financial Services. His responsibilities include growth of cyber products, innovative technology solutions, and group purchasing strategies for the private equity industry, as well as broader initiatives to bring operational efficiency to purchasing cyber insurance.
Prior to joining Lockton, Chopra was a managing director and head of cyber at NFP, where he was responsible for the overall cyber strategy and brokerage operations. Before NFP, he spent his time at Marsh, where he built and managed multiple teams across the country to help sell cyber offerings to new and existing clients. He developed key trading relationships in the marketplace to provide unique risk-transfer solutions and services.
In his more than 20 years of experience in the cyber industry, he has focused on insurance advisory, brokerage, and placement. His technical expertise includes cyber liability, miscellaneous professional liability, media liability, and technology E&O. He brings years of experience formulating strategies, initiatives, and teams to better drive product awareness and informed buying decisions.
He holds a BS Interdisciplinary Studies in Social Sciences degree from Michigan State University.
