With more than 25 years of claims, legal, risk management, and process improvement expertise, Caryn Siebert brings her unique, industry-leading perspective to Gallagher Bassett as vice president and national director, carrier engagement.
Siebert is responsible for strategic initiatives and business development in the national property and casualty carrier marketplace, including large carriers, mutual carriers, MGAs, and program administrators, leading with a focus on superior claims outcomes in workers’ compensation, construction defects, auto, complex liability, risk management, and more. A champion of mentorship and career development, Siebert is a member of the Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity Steering Committee at Gallagher Bassett, co-leading the Corporate and Social Responsibility subcommittee.
She was honored by the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM) with the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award and capped 2024 when she was inducted into the IBA Hall of Fame. She also chaired the Combined Claims Conference (CCC) from 2010 to 2020 – with CCC naming an award in her honor commencing 2022 – and is involved in other nonprofits such as Kids’ Chance, RISE – Insurance Cares, African American WC Professionals, and Give Kids the World.
Siebert earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from Brooklyn College in 1983 (graduating magna cum laude), then her Juris Doctor from New York Law School in 1985 (graduating with honors). Throughout her career, she has been a chief executive officer, a chief claims officer, and a general counsel to third-party administrators, carriers, and self-insureds.
