Bob Black leads Amwins’ National Property Practice.
As National Property Practice leader, Black is involved in a variety of projects supporting all of Amwins' brokerage division property teams. These initiatives include driving growth, developing, and maintaining strategic retailer/carrier partnerships, development of exclusive products, data and analytics, thought leadership, and more.
Black joined the Amwins family 21 years ago in various roles, including national real estate practice leader for 14 years (2011–25). He simultaneously contributed to and then led a team of 48 insurance professionals as a property broker and serves as relationship manager for Amwins’ largest property market.
He regularly contributes thought leadership at industry events, customer meetings, and provides insight for resources such as Amwins’ State of the Market reports. Prior to joining Amwins in 2004, he held consulting and sales positions with EY and CashTech Solutions.
Black is a graduate of the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business and contributes to the college’s scholarship efforts. He also supports various organizations such as Delta Upsilon, Mercy Housing, The Pink Agenda, WSIA PAC, and CouncilPAC.
