“No matter how many clients I have, I make sure to call each one personally every quarter. It’s a chance to not only update them on their portfolio, but also check on how they’re doing personally”

As a program manager for young agents, Jamie Behymer is passionate about providing young professionals with the tools they need to carve a rewarding future in the industry.
She is responsible for creating and delivering resources, supporting state associations with their programs, and supporting the leadership of the National Young Agents Committee (YAC). In her role, she oversees the national Young Agents program. A Young Agent is defined as someone under the age of 40 or an individual who has less than five years of experience in the industry.
This program provides state associations and thousands of emerging leaders with professional development opportunities, resources, and tools needed to perpetuate the independent agency system.
Managing activities of the National YAC, a group of six independent agents from across the United States, makes up the majority of her work. She assists the committee with supporting state associations with revitalizing and strengthening their Young Agents programs.
Additional activities include planning and executing the Young Agents Leadership Institute (YALI) and the Big “I” Legislative Conference, leading bi-monthly calls for the industry’s top talent to discuss their innovative ideas and developing resources to support with professional development.
