Profile
Evan Swindall is a recognized leader in the surety bond space, building on his previous work at Liberty Mutual, where he was the first small commercial underwriter to successfully engage with private equity firms on surety matters.
He joined Commercial Insurance Associates in 2025 while maintaining his role as a strategic risk partner for private equity firms. In his current capacity, he advises environmental, construction, and waste management clients on bonding strategies. He focuses on securing suitable surety capacity and ensuring favorable terms by aligning clients with the ideal carrier partners.
One of Swindall’s most significant achievements at CIA has been driving measurable growth in the surety practice while strengthening the firm’s relationships within the surety marketplace. The practice closed the year approximately 10 percent ahead of the prior year’s production, reflecting both new client acquisition and expanded bonding capacity for existing clients.
Before Swindall began his insurance career, he worked in a variety of sales positions for medical technology companies Smith & Nephew and Stryker. He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he was an offensive lineman for the university’s famed Ole Miss football team.
