Beginning his career as a claims associate while attending Arizona State University, Matthew S. Solorio, AIC, AINS, AIS has advanced through progressively complex property claims roles, building expertise in large loss, catastrophe, and technical claims handling. After starting with State Farm, he continued his career with The Hartford and Travelers, serving as a property claims adjuster, outside property claims representative, senior outside property claims representative, and technical specialist while serving in senior outside claims representative and technical specialist roles on the catastrophe response team.
Solorio currently serves as a national general adjuster within Crawford & Company’s Global Technical Services, handling complex commercial and residential property losses throughout the United States, ranging from moderate to large-loss exposures, including multimillion-dollar claims. His experience includes property damage, business interruption, and catastrophe-related exposures, as well as coordination of engineers, accountants, consultants, and contractors in claim evaluation and resolution.
Throughout his career, he has participated in innovation initiatives focused on claims workflow optimization and technology-driven improvements, including co-leading teams through Travelers’ Innovation Jam to develop scalable solutions for claim assignment efficiency and supplement handling.
