John Johnson was appointed chief executive officer of DUAL North America in October 2021. He is responsible for leading the growth and profitability of the management and underwriting teams, along with driving the company’s strategic vision. Johnson has 30 years of insurance and management experience. Prior to his current role, he served as president of Align Financial Holdings, as well as group president and president of Catalytic Risk Managers and Align General. He graduated from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business with a BA in Finance.

Lacey Rittenour joined DUAL North America in June 2022 as head of human resources. She leads the HR team in the development and delivery of key initiatives in recruitment, people and organizational development, and HR operation initiatives in the US. Prior to this role, she spent nearly five years with Qualcomm in various leadership roles, most recently as senior manager for HR. Rittenour holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from San Diego State University.

Jon Knouse was appointed chief commercial property officer of DUAL North America in 2021. He is responsible for underwriting strategies, decisions, proficiency, development, and performance across all property lines. Additionally, he ensures overall underwriting excellence and integrity for all product lines including authoring and measuring underwriting policy and performance, communicating underwriting appetites, and instituting quality control mechanisms. Knouse works in partnership with property division presidents to ensure that results are consistent with outlined objectives and business strategies. Prior to his current role, he served as the chief underwriting officer of Catalytic Risk Managers and was the president of Western Re for eight years.

Andy Swindall was appointed chief personal lines officer of DUAL North America in 2021. He oversees strategy, underwriting, and performance of all the company’s personal lines products, including wholly owned subsidiary NALICO General. He previously served as president of NALICO General Agency, and formerly held executive positions at ReAlign Capital Strategies and Personable Holdings. He helped form Align General Insurance Agency in 2003 after 11 years at Arrowhead General Insurance Agency. A graduate of University of California San Diego, Swindall holds degrees in Economics and Law & Society.
