A widely respected entrepreneur and global insurance leader, Patrick G Ryan formed Ryan Specialty in 2010. The company’s mission is to provide industry-leading innovative specialty insurance solutions for insurance brokers, agents and carriers. It provides distribution, underwriting, product development, administration and risk management services by acting as a wholesale broker and a managing underwriter.
Prior to launching Ryan Specialty, Ryan founded Aon Corporation and served as its chairman and CEO for 41 years. Upon Ryan’s retirement, Aon had more than 500 offices in 120 countries, generating revenues in excess of $7 billion at the time.

Tim Turner has had an extraordinary career for over 35 years, providing leadership, expertise and service within the insurance industry. He joined Ryan Specialty in 2010 to create and develop Ryan Turner Specialty. Under Turner’s exceptional strategic leadership, RT Specialty is now one of the top wholesale distributors of specialty insurance in the US and known for its expertise and outstanding client service.
Prior to Ryan Specialty, Turner was the president of CRC Insurance Services, one of the largest wholesale insurance brokers in the US at the time. He began his insurance career as a casualty broker with A J Renner & Associates in 1987. Before joining the insurance industry, he served on the Wayne County SWAT Team and was an undercover narcotics officer with the Narcotics Cocaine Task Force of the Michigan State Police.
