Chad Hall operates across the construction industry as president of RT Speciality, offering product solutions on projects from $5M to $1B+.
Since joining the firm in 2010, he’s being integral to its growth including a successful IPO.
Hall has honed his skills solely in the construction sector, evidenced by being recognised as one of IBA’s Top Specialist Wholesale Brokers 2025.
This has been partly influenced by growing up in a construction family and even having early jobs in the field.
“Staying focused to a single specialty for my entire career contributed to the success, but that alone wasn’t the biggest driver. It is the fanatical work ethic and the curiosity to continue to learn and adapt that fuels success.”
Hall credits effective communication as integral to how he operates. He prioritises setting expectations; therefore progress can be measured on what is ultimately delivered.
“If you meet or exceed those expectations that were set in the engagement, then you have delivered according to plan,” says Hall. “The more experienced you get, the better you become at setting expectations that are both challenging but deliverable.”
Another difference maker that Hall brings to the table is understanding clients’ needs and having a deep knowledge base to share.
“The goal is to provide education of what is available in the marketplace and provide optionality around what could meet those needs. Ultimately the buyer makes the decision and we’ve done the best we can to inform them of the pros and cons of the available options.”

With 20-years of construction speciality experience, Hall has assumed a mentoring and educating remit in his day-to-day interactions with clients, colleagues and team members. This has seen him create BOR the Tour, an educational series specifically focused within the construction insurance specialty to bring insurance agents, brokers, attorneys and underwriters together to discuss more relevant topics, issues, strategies and solutions in the construction insurance specialist niche.
This along with his stellar reputation is the culmination of Hall’s influence in the sector.
He comments, “Many of the solutions my team has developed over the past decade have become industry standards today, and I am constantly ideating new products and strategies to stay relevant in this industry. But I hope my influence goes beyond the products and services I have created and extends to my mentorship efforts and speaking engagements.”
