Chris Brown joined B&R in 1985 as the company’s first marketing representative in southern California. He was elected president in 1990 and named chairman in 2007. As chairman, Chris remains dedicated to driving product specialties in the firm’s national casualty, property, and management & professional liability departments as well as continuing to develop the current and future leaders of B&R’s growing number of industry specialty practice areas. He is also the leader of B&R’s national Construction Practice Group, a team of dedicated construction experts across the country, specializing in casualty, property, environmental, and professional liability.

He has overseen strategic acquisitions and significant organic growth and has helped the company grow to 18 locations from coast to coast. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, master’s in business administration, and numerous insurance certifications. He is frequently called upon to speak at regional and national industry events.
